    What is Microblading?

Microblading, is the process of manually implanting color pigment beneath the surface of the skin by means of tiny, sterile, disposable needles to produce the appearance of hair strokes, makeup, and to naturally enhance the face.

What is the difference between microblading and tattooing?

The purpose of microblading is to enhance the features with natural looking eyebrows. Microblading is more subtle – it is meant to be a natural looking enhancement. Traditional tattoos use electric tools and ink while microblading procedures use a manual hand tool.

Do my existing eyebrows need to be shaved off?

Please do not tweeze, thread or wax your eyebrows, the harier the better!. Before your appointment starts a brief consultation, followed by measuring and shaping. Your regular brow maintenance of tweezing, threading, waxing and/or tinting may continue once the brows have healed.

    Does it hurt?

Everyone has a different pain level. An anesthetic is applied for numbing during the procedure for minimal discomfort. Every effort is made to ensure you remain comfortable for the duration of the procedure.

(NOTE: Having this service performed during your menstrual cycle may increase discomfort during your procedure.)

How old do you have to be to get microblading done?

You must be 18 years or older to receive Microblading ot any Permanent makeup procedure.

Who is not a good candidate for Microblading?

Microblading is not recommended for those with oily skin or large pores. If that's you, you may want a shading or combination shading and microblading.

    Also anyone who is:

    Pregnant and or Nursing.

History of Keloids or Hypertrophic scarring
    Diabetic (require doctor’s clearance)
    Chemotherapy (consult your doctor)
    Viral infections and/or diseases
    Epilepsy
    Pacemaker or major heart problems
    Organ transplant
Skin irritations or Psoriasis near the treated area (rashes, sunburn, acne, etc.)
    Sick (cold, flu, etc.)
    Accutane in the past year
Heart conditions, Uncontrolled High Blood Pressure, Poor general health.

How long does the Procedure take?

Microblading and all other semi permanent makeup takes around 1.5 hours with most time is spent on measuring and shaping.

    How long does Microblading last?

The healed results of microblading last between 12-18 months. The variation in time is determined by your lifestyle, sun exposure and skin type. Someone with an oilier skin type tends to experience results that fade quicker compared to someone with a drier skin.

    What is the healing like?

The color will appear darker through the first week or so. This is because the pigment takes around seven days to enter the deeper layers of the skin. After seven to ten days, exfoliation takes place. The top layer of the skin peels off, leaving a softer, lighter color below. The result leaves you with softer and more natural lines. As the treated area continues to heal, itching may occur. The complete healing process typically takes six weeks.

I dont have any hair, can i still get this procedure done?

Absolutely, this is a great option for those who suffer from Alopecia or have been through Chemotherapy. Microblading can even correct past wax catastrophe, over tweezing, or the normal hair thinning. For a more filled or fuller look, i would recommend adding the Combo microblading and shading procedure.

Can Microblading cover my old tattoo?

Microblading can be done over an existing brow tattoo with a combo of shading, however the old tattoo must be significantly faded for the hair strokes to show through and look natural.

    Is the touch up necessary?

Yes! A touch up session after 4-6 weeks is necessary as everyone heals differently and outcome will vary. Certain areas may not pick up during first session and will need to be refilled. Pigment color may need to be adjusted, brow thickness and more strokes can be added. Individuals with oily skin often require a deeper shade during the touch up session as the oils tend to lighten the pigment. Most importantly, your touch up session is when we refine your brows to ensure it looks perfect and retains the color for the whole year.

What if i dont like it?

As with all cosmetic procedures, individuals should not make their choices lightly. We always recommend clients do their research, understand the procedure and compare different artists' work and portfolio when making their decisions. We will do our utmost to shape and style the eyebrows to the clients satisfaction prior to the procedure. Every effort will be made to achieve an even appearance, but please realize our faces are never perfectly symmetrical. Uneven appearance can be fixed during the touch up session. Microbladed brows will eventually fade away if no additional touch ups are done.
